    Material Amethyst

    By far the most valuable and famous form of quartz gem is Amethyst. The semi-precious gem’s name comes from the Greek word “Amethystos”, which means intoxicating. It belonged to the five cardinal gems lining up with Ruby, Emerald, Diamond and Sapphire.

    Specifications

    • Species: it belongs to Quartz family, the same as Citrine. The only difference is the color of their crystals, Amethyst is purple whereas Citrine is yellow in color.
